Hi Tony, If you get the stnadby light, then you power supply is not dead, or at least not completely. You might have bad horizontal output transistor, but I am guessing. As with everyone else you have choice of finding a reputable shop, or, if you have some experience, doing it yourself. If it is horizontal output transistor (2SC4927) this part costs between $1 and $5 depending on were you buy it. Jack
