HomeProblem with Sony KV32V15 TV My 10 year old sony KV32V15 bit the dust while we were watching it. It turned off and won't come back on directly or with the remote. I checked the power sourde and that's not the problem. Is this worth the $100 min. to have it looked at? Is this likely to be major, like a picture tube or a smaller fix? Thanks

my television went dead and is in service, but every time the tech comes back and re-hooks up the console inner 'guts' he took with him, something else has failed, the tech is now back for the third time and the picture in picture feature has not been fixed, should I continue to have this service business come back.... Hi Mark, Do a search on your model nimber in this forum, and read my replies to other people witn the same problem. I have nine year-old KV32V15, which did this very thing and I repaired it for about of total of $15 (that's includes the cost of the parts, and shipping from electronix.com). When your picture tube goes bad, usualy you still have the sound. Jack Were you able to get KV32V15 repaired? Mine did the same, all I get is the red blinking standby light, no picture or sound. |
