What is wrong with your deck? Bad firewire connection. Bad Heads? I have repaired the firewire jacks on a WVdr-7 and a WV-dr5 with an LA based professional service center. I did have service done with Sony (USA) directly, but this may now be a little more difficult. They have successfully replaced bad connections on my WV-DR7 and DR5 decks. They do not have the foreign schematics and cannot work on a lot of the other problems, but they were inexpensive for the replacement of the firewire jacks and they work great. |
