Home | Previous messageHi Ray, I have the same problem. My tv went out during a thunderstorm and it wasn't even on. I have removed the d1555 transistor and it seems bad. Will buy another one to install just to see. It is the horizontal deflection output transistor. Talked with my brother and he said in should be the vertical transistor but without a schematic I would have to guess which one it is. Please respond to this email so when I have it repaired I can forward the information on to you. Now, back to my search for a schematic. Mitch Tripp Chesapeake, Virginia

My TV went off after a thunderstorm, I checked and found the white 5.1 ohm Resistor and a D2102 transistor having a problem. I replaced them but it can't switch! what else can be the problem? Hi there, My old Teac TV stopped working recently (no lightening strikes) and I decided to take the back off it and have a look. A few multimeter tests showed that the D1555 transistor was the culprit and I have removed it. Took the transistor in to a local electronics shop in Adelaide Australia and they told me that I would have to find an equivalent. I wonder if you could help? Great that you have gone to the trouble of putting this info on the web. All the best Andrew Hello Mitch. Thanks for the reply TV is about 12 yr old works well otherwise. Good Luck on your search Ray |
