I had the same thing happen. I worked out a repair on the ones (3)that I've seen. If the contacts on the ring are okay a little bit of silicon and reassemly will cure it. Trouble is most of the time the ontacts are ruined. The 4 posts have to be in good shape also. Getting the ring is the tough part. On one that I saw that they lost the ring I made a rotary switch setup that operated the same way Email if you're interested in info and drawings
