Re: DSR-PDX10P Firewire Audio Capture In Mono

Eckhard Posted Mar 30, 2004, in response to:Jim Kearns

Hi, I have the same problem with my PDX10P. I also tried DVIO (nice, simple freeware tool) for capturing: Same problem, just mono. Also, I tried to set the VCR-playback channel selection differently (Ch1,Ch2 -> Ch1 -> ch2), hoping that at least I could capture the channels separately, one after the other. But: When setting to Ch2 output, I hear it in the build-in speaker of the camcorder, but still get ch1 in the pc. Thanks for your tip to use Liquid Edition - I will check that. Regards, Eckhard

Hi Eckhard, Liquid edition does work OK. You can even use the demo version for capturing. Demo version just won't render, but at least it will capture and you can then import the captured files into your favourite editing app. Liquid Edition captures separate video AVI and separate left channel wav and right channel wav audio files. Cheers Jim
