I'm in the same boat- here's what I've found so far: check Q601 & Q602 for shorts. R611 is a .1ohm resistor- will be open. These are located in the power supply secection. It's also possible that the horizontal output transistor will be a dead short (located near flyback transformer). Hope this helps.
