JVC error codes assistance

Stacy Sample Posted Jan 27, 2004, in response to:anonymous

You could possibly have a blown fuse on the board inside the unit. That would be the first thing we would check. IF that is not the case, we would have to dig deeper into the unit to pin point the power problem. Have you tried power with the DC cord too or just the battery?

I have a model GR-DVP3EA, the tape cannot reject, I have try nearly all possible solution, like tapping on it, take the battery out, using the DC cable, the only one I have not try is tapping with a slagged hammer maybe that will work, any more ideas?.

Good evening, I saw your response to the fella with a JVC camcorder which woundn't start up. I have a similar problem with a GR-DVL805 from when I purchased it new, unfortunately JVC never responded back Both the battery and ac adapter will not get it started though if I lick/moisten the battery terminals the camera will start if it's in the run or record mode. A JVC repair shop said it is the board and for $500.00 Canadian it can be fixed, I stayed with licking the terminals. Any suggestions? Thamk you.

I have a KD-GT7 head unit. This unit has been installed and is powered up displaying error code 12. Can anyone tell me what this code stands for?
