Home | First message in thread | Previous messageSorry to say but I haven't had the time to tinker with my camera lately, so I don't know if I can repair it or not.***PLEASE NOTE THAT I AM NOT A TECHNISSION, THIS IS ONLY WHAT I HAVE FOUND TO WORK FOR ME*** But as far as getting the tape out there are two things that I found to be effective. 1) Make sure that you are using a fully charged battery or plug the camera in using the wall outlet jack and try to use the "eject" button. 2)If that doesn't work, try (very carefully) taking just the door off, there should be only two screws that hold the door on; once the door is off you will have access to the release pin inside the door. When looking at the door it should be on the left side of the tape in the door; "Gently" press the pin down until the tape pops up. Basiclly, once the door is off (and as long as you are carefull) you are care full you should be able to work the tape outta there. Saving the tape is the important part. I hope this helps. Let me know.

Well I'm back, Not as much sucess as you have had. I'm not sure what you mean by "release pin" I took the door off with the 2 screws. Looking to the left of the tape I see a spring, some thin metal tabs, I can also see the button that you would use to eject the tape under normal circumstances. I tried what you said also regarding the back up battery. Remove, re-install, replace. Even with the power supply plugged in during each of these steps the tape still wont come out. Any more detail you can give re the release pin would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your time. PZ I am again very happy to hear of your success. I have been meaning to take the door off like you suggested for weeks now. I was going to do it today (sunday am). I wnt to print you desrciption of the process and realized you had more info. I'm going to try that right now!! Thanks Alot!!! PZ I already went as far as taking the door off but didnt know about the release pin. I will have another look. Please keep me informed if you have anymore developments. I would love to get this camera going again. Thanks, PZ |
