Home | Previous messageI received the Disk Error message on my Sony Mavica FD-71 digital camera tonight, so I searched the web to find some solutions. I found a few suggestions, so I took the camera apart but didn't take the actual disk drive apart. By the way, I had tried six different floppy disks in the camera--that all worked fine in my computer disk drive. I never took the time to reformat any of them using my computer.

HOW DO YOU FORMAT A FLOPPY ON YOUR COMPUTER? Hi, thanks for the good advise. I took a small screw driver and move the two tabs that are on each side of the camera's drive. Moved them in just slightly, which corrected my disk error problem. Thanks all, Brad 720 Diskettes have the problem only use diskettes formatted 1.44 No = DSDD Yes = DSHD I had the same Mavica 1301 disk error. Did everything suggested above. No luck. Took the camera apart - still no luck. Finally, I took a little screwdriver and stuck it inside the diskette opening and ROTATED THE LITTLE ARM THAT SPINS THE DISKETTE. That did it! You can see the plate rotate as you move the arm ... just make sure you move it around. I don't know if the rotating plate was stuck or what, but the camera worked fine after that. Good luck! I have a fd 85 with this error have tried everything where do we send to get repaired? thanks I have a Mavica CD-200 that pops up with the C:13:01 error i have cleaned the lens but no luck it still wont recognize any type of cd i put in. Chelito If you still have the fd100 for sale - let me know. Thanks Hola, I got the new 32mb memory stick last week and put it into camera. It shows C:13:01 (flashing) What do I do?
