I read most of the posts concerning blinking TVs. I removed the back of my Sony and did find the spot to make the adjustments. My TV didn't have two knobs as some where describing but rather two two little adjustable posts that you could twist with your hand. One was black and adjusts the focus while the other was white and turning this one stops the blinking. Turning it to the left loses the picture entirely while turning it to the right slowly will bring back the picture. The adjustments were right about in the center of the TV just below the rear of the picture tube. After I turned my TV back on, it did blink for several minutes but then it stopped and is now okay. I believe that each time you turn it off you will have to put up with the blinking for s few minutes. This will have to do until you are ready for a new TV.
