My Easy Share V570 did this and although the hard taps and slaps I gave it as recommended did get it to work temporarily, it would continue to have the same problem. So after reading Jonathan Vleits solution, which was taking it apart and doing something under the joystick, I decided to just push the joystick in hard and hold it. It worked, I no longer have the problem. Try it before taking it apart. What do you have to loose, except maybe having to take it apart, if it doesn't work.
