I have a JVC GZ-HD7U camcorder that uses several different types of BN-XXXXX batteries. All these 7.2vdc batteries cost a lot on money but don't work for very long on a shoot. Even the so called 2250mAh batteries die within an hour.
I've looked at the JVC batteries and see that they have "+ and -" connections, but they also have connections that are labeled "T and C". Does anyone know what these connections are for and what they do?
The reason I am asking is that many RC cars run on 7.2vdc batteries, but they have huge mAh ratings (many above 7500mAh) that would allow me to have more battery life during my shoots and are cheaper in costs. I would love to tear down one of the JVC battery cases and rewire the case to accept the connections from the RC battery. It would work, other than the fact that I don't know what the T and C connections are for.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'll post photos and results later.
Jim
