JVC TV - Need Help in Settings. SOS.

I am attempting to set the On/Off Timer to turn on in the mornings to particular show on a particular channel.
I understand HOW to set this and have set it to where the TV successfully comes on.
The problem that I'm having is that I have a digital cable box set up to my JVC AV27F802. I see where I have the option to choose the channel to which I want the TV to come on in the mornings. I don't see the option to have it turn on in the "input" of Digital Cable. So, all I wake up to is static on any channel between 1 & 150. Is there a way to set the input on the Timer On/Off Timer to Digital Cable?

Having looked at the operating manual for the set in question it would appear that if after setting the ON & OFF times (on ON/OFF timer) and you have moved onto "CHANNEL" and you do not see A/V inputs being mentioned at either end of the total range of channel availability shown then there is the possibility that this action is not possible.

Doesn't your cable box have a programmable RF output? as if it did you then that would enable you to achieve what you want to do as the TV would look it the cable box as another station.

This said assuming that you presently have the cable box coupled into the TV via RCA plugs.
