Try uniden.com repair agent tells me error E01 on the hand set means the complete hand set has failed it is now 2010 and questions were asked in 2006-2007 and you have probably bought a new phone by now. anyway my problem was in 2010 on a Uniden Elite 8855/8855+1 Phone. Hope this info helps someone out there.
