It depends entirely on what model you have! (which you haven't mentioned) as only a certain range (albeit large!) of models were fitted with image sensors that have the potential for failing, that said though a special free repair offer that JVC ran for just about three years expired at the end of June last year, although through experience I am aware that occasionally JVC will still carry out this repair on a goodwill basis, this outrageously seemingly dependant on wherever a person is located (county wise) and whom they might first talk to when they phone.
