I suspect that the batteries "might" have been recently put into the camera in reverse and it has damaged the power indication circuitry, how ever if this can be totally discounted then for a test try two new batteries again, if the situation still hasn't changed then there is nothing you can do as the camera requires further investigation at a service depot. It should be noted that if the camera has been consistantly used in a very warm area this can cause indication errors, although its really a case of whether or not the camera stops working when this warning is showing, or it still operates as normal.
