What is the problem and what is the fix.

I left my 32 inch sony idle for 10 months. When I turn it on it took about 2 minutes before the picture came on. The picture would blink out for 2.5 seconds and stay on about8 seconds. I keep the set on for 48 hours straight but it still blinks out for afew seconds. what should i do.
