EMERGENCY TAPE EJECT / DOOR OPEN PROCEDURE.
This procedure should release to cassette holder door, although of course
dependant on the reason for the fault in the first place!, if however the
procedure fails its likely because the mechanism is jammed which will
necessitate separating the camcorder case to gain access to the mechanism.
First take the battery out, and while its out switch the camcorder to "M".
Next "HOLD AND KEEP HOLDING" the eject button whilst you reinsert
the battery, if you are lucky the tape will eject as soon as the battery is
reinstalled due to this action by-passing the "fault located - shut down
mechanism" command that is sent from the sensors logic control circuit
to the mechanism, i.e: the sensors logic control circuit cannot trigger a
shut down signal if there is no power to it, and depending on your luck when
you reinstall the battery and power is restored your eject command can
sometimes take the lead over the sensors signal being acted upon by the
logic control.
(The aforementioned procedure may of course require more than one attempt
with any subsequent attempts with the power switch on "A" rather than "M")
