we have a KP53HS10 that we purchase at Cox Electronic in 2001. Then one day the picture went blurry and faded. We took it back to the store and they told us we needed part # A -1299-309-A so we purchase the part from American Electronic for 280.11 total, which was better than 599.00 plus tax and 150.00 labour. Once it was installed the technician at Cox Electronic tell us it was the wrong part. Now he is telling us we need part # A -1131-462-A for the cost of 599.99 plus tax labour 150.00. I am trying to find out if model # KP53HS10 and model # KP53HS30 has the same part number, we could buy an old TV to replace the part we need for our TV. But somehow Sony won't give me that information so is the Sony Store.
