no volume on kds570 cant reset

I use a kds570 in my boat. After a winter of storage i cant get the sound to work. I tried to reset it holding the power And select button, it does nothing.the radio powers up scans and selects channels, the cd player appears to be working as well , just no sound ? worked fine before i put it away for the winter...
