Homethe printer is showing the error message "scanner error" I took the printer apart to repair a problem. I made the repair, but when I put it back together and powered it up I got the error message "scanner error". And, of course, it will not work. I didn't touch the scanner at all while making the repair. Just looking at it, the scanner seems out of syn. Any ideas. Please E-mail me. Thanks Bill

One logical way of looking at it is, that "if" this problem only showed up after you had taken it to pieces then something "has" been upset somewhere in the timing mechanism, and of course you didn't mention what the repair was and that could well have a bearing on what is liable to be causing the problem, as there isn't really very much that can be done inside a scanner without upsetting something. |
