JVC problem

JVC question

I have a JVC Ginessa model # HD-61G887 and Do not have a remote to work the menu so had to use the side buttons on TV itself. My friend did something to it when trying to do auto channel to add channels for cable(had satellite and moved and n ow have cable tv without a box). Well, he did something and now we only get channels that have D in front of the number, like D3 and cannot get it back to regular channels. We were getting cable channels if punched the number in manually, but now since he did that we get nothing but black screen and numbers with D in front. Hope you can help us. Thanks!

Meant to add, you should try the auto tuner again. Press menu and use the arrow up/down to select Auto tuner set up to operate. Choose cable or air. Press OK to start.

Just out of curiosity do you actually have the manual for this set? as most of the instructions given are for using the remote control to set things up.
