I have a very old DSC-S75 that I have owned for the past 8 years. She is worthless on the market, and I have been waiting for it to die, but she goes along beautifully. Then she took a 4 foot tumble onto some tile and then it would make a bunch of clicking sounds and gave me the dreaded E:61:00 message. I was going to put a bullet in her. Then I googled up the error message and found this thread. I was dubious to say the least, but then I tried it. If there is anyone in a similar situation I will say this TRY IT...IT WORKS!!! I smacked it with my palm 3 times and it works beautifully again. My goal is to get another decade out of her. This rules!
