Hair dryer really works!

Our five year old Sony Trinitron TV went out two weeks ago. We had the blinking light syndrome. It was difficult to turn on for about one week before it went out all together. Before that it had the most amazing picture and we were very happy with it. Well...we tried the hair dryer maneuver and lo and behold it worked! The question is how long will it work? Is this just a short time fix or what!!! It's nice to see our Sony working again. Good luck everyone.
