Re: JVC service or questions

Andres Quintero Posted Mar 18, 2010, in response to:Stacy Sample

Hi, I recently purchased a JVC HM-100 video camera. I just recently did a shoot and in the middle of it my camera did something really weird. I tried pressing record at one point and it wouldn't start. I noticed that the standby, which usually only blinks for a few seconds after having stopped recording, was blinking continuously. No matter what I did, it wouldn't let me record. So I tried turning the camera off. I switched to the "off" position, but the camera remained on... Even then, I still couldn't record. So the only way I was able to turn the camera off was by removing the battery. I powered it back on and then found that all the stuff that I had shot, was gone. I thought maybe it was just a one time thing, but it happened to me later that day, and I ended up losing all the stuff that I had to re-shoot from the first time it messed up. Any thoughts why this happened? Andres Quintero
