Hi, I've got a Sony DVP-NS78H with the same error. I've some old Imation, HP and Sony DVD+RW disks what works perfectly on the player. I tried to use some new disks (Sony, Verbatim, Maxell, TDK, etc.) all of them DVD+RW. Recently I bought (by accident) a pack of Verbatim DVD-RW disks. This type works perfectly on the payer.
