Im shopping around for an on-Camera light.

I use a canon XL2 to shoot documentation / interior video for construction companies, and Realtors. I need an on-camera light to fill in shadows and such. Im not looking to light up the room with this light, I would just like to illuminate, say....a face at 5 feet, or fill in a shadow at most 10 feet away. Any suggestions?
