Alan - unfortunately its quite impossible to e-mail anything when the person requesting has chosen to hide their e-mail address, and info "has" to be sent to a direct e-mail address, this because as well as being complex it contains a number of JPEG attachments for illustration purposes. I should also point out that DX models are not near so prone to having this problem and likewise are more complex to work on as far as disabling the sensor is concerned, and so cleaning the dew sensor "the correct way" is always the first thing to try followed by a memory reset, as this has a lesser element of dismantling, however if none of these measures work then disabling is the only option remaining.
