jb32 I really thank you for tanking your time to help me with this problem I have with the camcorder not reading tapes. You mentioned that JVC could still help me with this; now, I have to say I bought this camera in 2004 and started with this problem in 2009. I would REALLY like to fix this jb32, I still have some tapes I'd like to download to my pc and I still think it's worth fixing it. I live in Moreno Valley, California (US), I still have the original box that came with the camera, and on the box is a sticker that I think I can use as a receipt.
