Replacing Tape Recorder Drive Belts

I am trying to replace the "take-up" drive belt for my Sony TC399 tape recorder. Yes I know its over 35 years old but it was working OK and I am transferring my tape library to MP3. The belt I need is a round belt, approximately 3mm in diameter with a circumference of 390mm. Have you anything that come anywhere near this that I could try? Many thanks Trevor

You could try looking amongst the range of the old VCR belts still available as some of these weren't too far away from being approx 3mm round with about 124mm in diameter,(390mm circumference) and although they may not be an exact fit they would certainly last long enough to transfer any of your tapes.
