I had one of these back in 1978 and had to get another in 1979. The tape drive motor acted like it had become disconnected both times and would not turn the tape cassette. I got a second one instead of a refund the first time. The second time, I got a cash refund and bought a Panasonic TR-4001P. I still have this one and it is still working fine. Hope you have good luck with your set. (I never opened the case on mine till the Panasonic, but an antenna shouldn't be too hard to replace yourself.)
