Need your advice on the video camera whether to repair it or to buy a new one.

We have a handy cam Cannon ZR45 MC (mini DV) which is 8 years old and is not used much. I'm getting an error "Remove the cassette" when rewinding. I had got the same error 2 years back. Technician had replaced the DC DC converter circuit and operation key asst. We have already spent 4k on the same. Since we get pretty good handy cam for lesser price nowadays, what is your suggestion on the same.
