As you have restricted your e-mail address the full info with appropriate JVC service links / phone numbers etc cannot be sent, but you should contact JVC customer services nearest to wherever you may be located. (Australia / NZ?) The problem you describe is one of the symptoms of the classic "lens cap" image sensor defect, and which may still possibly "qualify" for a special JVC free repair as the model mentioned is on the list of models susceptible to developing the problem, however although the free offer did expire at the end of June 2009 its known that some have still been able to obtain the repair dependant on where they reside country wise. I feel that one of the two contact numbers listed below is likely to be applicable to wherever you may reside. The New Zealand (Wellington) contact number is: 0800 - 100 - 025. The Australian customer services is 1300 - 728 - 225 (Fax is 226) The contact e-mail address being: jvc-australia@hagemeyer.com.au Should anyone else have an enquiry please make it by clicking on "Post new message" in blue print at the top of every page otherwise it might not be noticed.
