You cannot remove the icon if the camcorder sensor still thinks that condensation is present, even if it isn't!!
The only thing you can try is open the tape compartment as though you were going to insert a cassette, but with the aid of a hairdryer on its low setting, blow hot air into the bottom left hand side of the opening (that is with the LCD side furthest away from you) for about 20 seconds or so, leave about another 30 seconds then repeat the hot air for a further 20 seconds.
If after leaving the camcorder sitting for about an hour or so the fault has not rectified itself then there is no option but to carry out the memory reset or alternatively the disabling of the sensor circuit, as this is 99.9% guaranteed to cure the problem.
A service centre will not do this for you though, as its not a JVC approved procedure, however it "is" a successful one having been proven over the last three years or so although it "has" to be carried out by a person acquaint at working with precision pieces of equipment and who is also good at soldering, the latter being essential!!
