New home sought for old Camcorder & accessories - I'm not looking to make any money on this, the only cost would be to cover the shipping charge, just would rather see it go to a good home than the local dump.

During a loft clearout I've come across my Dad's treasured JVC GR-A 30 Camera-Recorder/Player, which dates back to 1989. I remember him being very proud of it at the time because it was the latest technology and very advanced - he drove us all mad for months popping up unexpectedly with the damn thing! :) It's complete with all the kit and it seems such a shame to just throw it out. It occurred to me that it may be of value to somebody, either to add to a collection of classic camcorders (I believe there are people out there who collect such antiquities), or to make use of the accessories that came with it. These consist of: - instructions/manuals - charger unit - 2 batteries - 5 brand new cassettes, still in their cellophane - a substantial metal carry case large enough to hold the camera and all its accessories in foam with the cut outs to fit - an additional smaller plastic carry case - all the gubbins for connecting it to the TV to watch your recorded movies I don't know if the camera still works, but believe it did so when my dad carefully packed it away for the last time so many years ago. Is this likely to be of interest to anyone or am I wasting my (and your) time? Many thanks. Alexandra
