TV turn off by itself. Black screen.

I have a TV model AV36F704-AYA and while watching a program the tv turned off by itself. The light keep on blinking like it was coming on again, but nothing happened. We called the JVC service in our area, took the Tv for inspection and changed one piece on the board. Two weeks later I had the same problem. Called the tech, picked up the tv and two weeks later they returned to us claiming they could not replace the piece again (we had the same problem with the same piece) since they won't install "generic" pieces, and original one's were not made anymore. This is a 6 yrs old tv. and will be a shame just to throw it away. What do you recommend? I found the piece on the internet for $160.00 but If I take it to a repair shop, plus labor will be more than 350.00 Why is it generic parts are not being used to replace the ones needed? I live in California and would like to know of any shop that will be able to install them.
