HomeI want to erase/delete tapes Hi, I have a JVC GR-DVX400EK camcorder. I am passing this camera to a family member and I have lots of used tapes, the contents of which I have transferred to disc and wish to pass on the tapes with the camera but wish to pass them on blank. To erase them, is it simply to set them to record with the lens cap on or is there another way? Thank you for your help and I look forward to your reply. Johnny

Unfortunately there isn't, the only other method you could try is to run a magnet over them or if you have a CRT type television is to hold it right next to the side masking of the screen when first (during) switching the set on, but these are total hit and miss methods. It goes without saying to use only one tape when trying these tests. |
