There is no connection whatsoever between these two faults as the lens cap indication is caused by a well known problem of faulty image sensors having been fitted into a range of models and which a free repair had been on offer for the past 30 months or so, this unfortunately now expired. The condensation could possibly be cured by cleaning the sensor, however if it didn't cure it then a modification to the camcorders circuitry is the only answer, this not being advisable to be attempted by anyone who does not have a flair for working with precision equipment.
