Well although you fail to mention what model of hard drive camcorder you have, in general terms the easiest way to do what you want is simply to use the camcorders A/V output socket coupled to the A/V inputs on the monitor, although I would only use the yellow socket on the monitor as thats the video input. (The above said assuming that when the camcorders recording its A/V output socket isn't muted)
