How to dismantle JVC GRD-290EK camcorder

Hi all can anyone help me dismantle my JVC GRD-290EK camcorder as Zoom/Volume control has gone faulty (soon as I turn to camera mode it goes to full zoom, taking the zoom slider off makes the camera work ok but obiously no zoom control) I have half dismatled the camera but the cover around the cassett housing doesn't want to come off, Any advice/Service manual most appreciated. Thanks in advance. Oh btw JVC part number for the zoom control will be most appreciated as well. Thanks again
