I think its a bit unreasonable to slate a piece of electronic equipment purchased as far back as 2002 and which in most households can be used every day, to get to halfway through 2009 and be considered inferior just because its developed a fault. This type of attitude would be more appropriate if you were referring to a device that had failed in under a year, not nearly seven!!
