i have the everio gz-mg132ek, it wont turn on, or initialize

when i try turning the camcorder on, both the camera and video red lights come on for a few seconds, then turn off, theres no green light at all, ive had the battery tested, ive also took battery off and tried via mains, it seems it either needs reebooting as it wont initialise, but dont know how to do this, i would throw the thing in the bin, but ive got footage on hard drive i need, any ideas, or anywhere i can send it to for repair/reboot etc
