No picture or sound and stand by light continues to flas 6 times and then pauses.

I have tried everything I read on this board, which is great by the way, and I haven'tbeen ableto get it back. I bought the KV-36HS500, which weights 230 lbs, in 2003 and the picture was great until now. It was working fine and I shut it off to go to the airport and tried to turn it back on when I got back and nothing. I agree that since this has been a long standing problem with the Trinitron that Sony should step up but I don't think there is a fat chance. I am also doudbtful that my replacment will bbe a Sony also unless they do something and own up to it.
