I just wanted to say Thanks for your input. I went to use my DVM-70 the other day and got this E04 error and was down in the dumps about my camera going belly up again. i don't use this camera very often, I just spent $400 to get it fixed when it failed just before going on a trip to Europe. So I've spent more then what the camera is now worth today. When this E04 error came up I was ready to sell it on Ebay. But my better judgement said "see if someone on the net knows wht it means before I do something stupid". So I found your post and gave it the palm hit and WOW it's working? Is it fixed or was was it just a glitch? Anyway thanks for the simple no cost fix.
