Homenever again bought the sony xbr 40 inch paid 3000.00 7 years ago and now the only thing that works is the standby light it just flicks on and off.Im sure Sony knows about this problem because ther are thousands of people out there who paid top dollar for there tv sets because of sony name and got tvs with defects .There should be a recall with some type of credit at the very least to keep me and the other thousands customers.I hope the right person sees this because i cant really afford to buy another tv. Pissed off Bill

7 years!! just what length of time does people expect a piece of electronic equipment which in most cases is used every day to last for before some form of fault develops? as after all the set hasn't become a write off as all it simply requires a service, with this quite rightly paid for by the owner, as nothing is guaranteed forever no matter what it might be. |
