About the only thing you can actually do is to blow mildly warm air into the open cassette holder, a hairdryer on its cool setting is ideal for this sort of action and give a burst of air for about 15 seconds, wait for about 30secs, then repeat the first action. I don't know what model you are referring to, but leave it sitting for slightly over the hour before trying to use it as it "may" have a time delay lock out activated, and which on most camcorders clears after about an hour.
