My JVC changes from input 1 to channel 2 all on it's own and then we can not change it back to input 1. Remote has been broken for a while

It changes all the time and than sometimes if we unplug it and then plug it back in a few hours later it may work for 20 min or so sometimes even less. Any ideas?
