Re: JVC service or questions

Martin Posted Jun 16, 2009, in response to:Stacy Sample

I have a JVC AV-56P575. Recently there were some power outages which fried my FIOS HD set top box. I am now having problems with my TV. None of the component inputs (except for the Coax) work properly. The AV inputs split the screen vertically and displays the same image on both sides (not split evenly, i would say it's split 40% on the left and %60 on the right. The RGB component only plays sound, no video. The HDMI port does nothing. I have tried the jumper fix for the HDMI as indicated on another website (i cannot paste hyperlink, it blocks my post when i do) which did not work. Ironically, ALL ports worked after the outages, and only started to have problems AFTER hooking up the new FIOS HD set top box. I am sure this is just a coincidence. Is there any way to do a factory reset from within the Service Menu, maybe this will help? Thank you for your time.
