new to me.old to them.

just got this camcorder.was told it was broken.bought a batt. charger and turns on.think i fixed the tape track to load and unload. my question is while charging does the loght blink red or stay constant red.when i hook it up to charger it stays red tries to load tape finishes and then the light starts to blink..is it a battery issue or is it the loader. next and final when i use it in view mode it flashes LENS COVER on the display screen. thanx for your time.(would like to get running as i am leaving NC to move to AZ and taking train)
